The Sister Fidelma mysteries are a series of historical mystery novels and short stories by Peter Tremayne (pseudonym of Peter Berresford Ellis) about a fictional detective who is the eponymous heroine of a series. Fidelma is both a dalaigh (an advocate in the courts of the Five Kingdoms of Éireann), and Celtic nun (Ellis uses the French term "réligieuse").   It was a book club selection. I quickly discovered that it was not a typical read of the Western genre. It was witty, hillarious in parts, utterly readable, and educational to boot. There was a psychological richness to it that did not disappoint. Pros: I loved the narrator's character, Eli, who is one of the Sister's s: K.

Your little one will enjoy preparing for their new baby sister or brother with our Big Sister/Brother Coloring Activity Book and Crayon Set. Choose from boy or girl designs; each featuring your child's name on the front cover/5(39).   My brother and sister are both older than I am and were born before my father went off to World War I. – Douglass North My elder brother and sister were both sporty and academic, and I think, subconsciously, I knew I couldn’t go down that avenue. – Rose Leslie I watched ‘Billy Madison’ maybe 80 times. It’s my favorite movie.

The book is written as if regaling the new sibling with all the loving things the older child will do. This helps to model positive sibling interaction without feeling preachy, and also provides an opportunity for big sisters to share the book once the little one is old enough to enjoy story time/5(73). Open Book is an opportunity to laugh and cry with a close friend, one that will inspire you to live your best A story with universal echoes, Brother & Sister speaks across generations to families whose lives have been touched by the fragility and "otherness" of loved ones - and to brothers and sisters everywhere. © Diane Keaton (P)
